PE Central PE Central is a web site that provides information about developmentally appropriate physical education practices and programs. American Battlefield Trust Includes teacher institutes and conference and lots of information on Social studies on their website. AMLE - National Association for Middle Level Learning Professional organization for middle school educators with research journal access and great teaching tips. Kids Health - This site has a lot of great information for kids, teens, and parents as well as teachers for lesson plans and worksheets. Nearpod - This website allows students to be more engaged. They can respond, poll, games, videos, and much more. Students can go at their own pace or teacher instruction. It gives me a greater idea of what each student is thinking because they respond to questions, polls and activities. Students of History - This website gives the basics of the curriculum in an easy format and allows users to choose what to use and what not too. It includes Powerpoints or videos for flipped classrooms. iCivics - This website has a lot of information on civics curriculum but also gives games for students to play (my students like 'Cast your Vote'). IXL - This website is a great supplementation for any subject. It allows students to work on skills they need more help on. Prodigy - This Math website can be used to allow students to work on problems specific to standards assigned, but it also allows them to play a game while doing so. Chalk - This is a great lesson plan website. It allows users to make templates with teaching strategies on them. Virtual Calming Room -This is a good resource website and includes lots of different tools that teachers and students can use to manage emotions. |
