Flipgrid - I love how many ways you can incorporate this into the classroom to help students
Khan Academy - The math material aligns very well to the standards. You can set up classes, assign material, and assign videos as well. It is also great for students to explore the content independently. Many of my high level learners have challenged themselves to explore new skills on their own. GimKit is an awesome resource to engage students in content! The game was created by a high school student and he is continually updating it to provide new opportunities for students. It's like Kahoot but students seem more engaged in the questioning rather than it being a race to see who answers first. |
"Just breathe." ~Bre Schwandt
"In a prior job I went into a new school and was in a role previously held by a highly regarded teacher. I was early in my career. That teacher was going through material with me, and I believe they could tell I was overwhelmed with thinking I would try to do things like they did. They soon told be to just be myself. It was the best advice I have gotten." ~Jackson Graf "Be flexible. Don't take things personally. Get kids up and out of their seats. Give them as much choice as possible. Take care of yourself. Enjoy the ride!" ~Robin Simmons |
