Middle School: A Place to Belong & Become
by Laurie Barron & Patti Kinney We’ve found a common denominator in our work—a thread that ties together concerns of students, effective middle level practices, and young adolescent development. That common factor is the profound need and desire for young adolescents to find places where they feel they can belong and can discover who they are and who they want to become.

Cool in Schools
SMS Live Feed/Thrillshare At Simmon's Middle School in Aberdeen staying connected and involved is key to a positive school environment and positive community involvement. Thrillshare and the live feed have been a great way to share what the students are learning about and the activities they are doing in classrooms. It is a wonderful opportunity to share students accomplishments and allow the community to see the students in action. Our schools are doing great things, let's share the good and celebrate learning! Way to go SMS! |
